A new build receives an infusion of depth and character

A place for relaxation

This magnificent new estate’s landscape consisted of a large square of sod, devoid of height variations, warmth or visual interest. The homeowners are empty-nesters who spent most weekends at their cottage, so they were looking for a low-maintenance space where they could relax and feel at home.

From bland to beautiful

The home’s entrance was softened by the addition of trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses and perennials, with rockery stone adding some architectural interest to the garden beds. Two large urns grace the front steps, extending a warm and colourful “welcome home”.

The backyard was transformed into a relaxing retreat, with plenty of patio space for dining beneath the covered porch… but the real highlight here is the heated walkway leading to the hot tub! This last-minute addition, along with the feature walls and privacy screens, turn this once-open space into a cozy retreat.

Stylish and functional

This once austere landscape, with its builder-grade driveway and sod, has been transformed into a functional and stylish outdoor space. It now exudes a subdued luxury, where the homeowners can relax and spend time with their family and friends, whether dining al fresco on the patio, relaxing by the glow from the fire or soaking in the hot tub.
